Rundown:
Keon Coleman is a legitimate threat on the field. A far from perfect prospect but Coleman possesses some spectacular catching ability to pair with his size. A typical X receiver that can moss defenders at will, he does rely almost exclusively on his size to win. While his route running is fine, his route tree is limited, and he lacks the twitchiness and overall speed to allow him to separate consistently. However, Coleman doesn’t need that to win. He wins at the line with his handwork and strength. He wins at the point of catch with his size to leverage defenders, and box them out effectively.
Coleman also was an effective and rare punt returner at Florida State. Afterall how many 6’3” 215 lb. return men have you seen play? While his 40 time isn’t reflective of a typical return man, he does have good vision and shiftiness that compliment his size and physicality to make defenders lives difficult. Special team experience will bode well for Coleman to make an NFL roster, especially in a year with a new kickoff format.
Coleman should be a redzone and 1v1 nightmare. He’s near impossible to beat at the point of catch, and his physicality makes him tough to bring down. I expect Coleman to be a boom/bust type player each week. I can see him having big weeks and catching multiple TDs, I could also see him not getting open consistently enough to warrant more than 5 targets every week. He will only be as limited as his QB. If he can pair up with a QB willing to throw a 50/50 ball, Coleman is a player that makes 50/50 balls, 70/30 balls.

- Tracks deep balls well.
Weaknesses:
- Inconsistent separation.
- Small route tree.
- Could show a bit more aggression or willingness as a blocker.
